I learned the hard way not to trust the pump gas. You could be buying 89 octane labeled as 91 because the owner of the gas station thinks he can make some extra money mixing the octanes. Then you end up with a blown motor.
To me its not even worth wasting time with pump gas. Yeah its possible to run that kind of power level on pump gas. But how can you make sure you are getting the gas you think you are?
If you have some means to be sure that the quality of the gas is good...then go for it.
